About Me

I’m Andrew Richtmyer, an artist based in Asheville, North Carolina. I grew up in Hickory and earned my BFA in Painting from UNC Asheville. My work draws from pop media and the imagery that shaped my early life, blending painting, sculpture, ceramics, and design to explore how memory and culture influence identity.

I’ve exhibited in multiple gallery shows and have been published for my creative work. Alongside my studio practice, I’ve assisted sculpture classes and worked within my community supporting students and emerging artists. I’m passionate about creating art that connects people — work that balances nostalgia, reflection, and the joy of making.
